Our goal is to help you reach your goals in a safe and secure banking environment. Unfortunately, bank card fraud and security breaches are a reality. Just ask Target & Home Depot. Card fraud is a particular problem outside the United States. We don’t want you to be a victim. Peoples is dedicated to preserving the safety of all your relationships with us, including your debit card.
Does my card work outside the USA?
For your protection, until you contact us, your card is blocked from purchases originating in any country outside the United States. When you do travel outside the country, we encourage you to take and use your Peoples MasterCard Debit Card. Simply contact us a few days prior to your trip. We’ll make sure your card(s) are “unblocked” for use when you travel.
What if my card is lost, stolen or I detect fraud?
Immediately contact any Peoples Bank location during business hours or after hours call (866) 546-8273 (US, Canada, Caribbean) or +1 (206) 352-4990 (Other international callers) . We’ll make sure your card is deactivated to prevent any unauthorized use.
You can also cancel your debit card from your online banking account or from our iPhone or Android applications. Please note that when you cancel your card and need a new one, you’ll need to contact a Peoples Banker to order a replacement.
If I need a new card, can I get one quickly?
Yes! We can produce a new Peoples Bank MasterCard Debit Card that you can have in a couple of business days, if not sooner! With your new card you can also use your old PIN or create a new one.
