    Capital CDC recently recognized its 2015 award winners. Laurie Roach, Vice President and Business Relationship Officer of Peoples Bank-Albuquerque, was named the Lender of the Year. Laurie had loan approvals totaling $2,733,000.00 in SBA 504 dollars.

    In addition to the Lender of the Year award, Peoples Bank was also recognized as the Top Lending Institution in regard to approval and debenture volume.

    Capital CDC works as a non-profit facilitator of loan development throughout Texas and New Mexico. They have worked with hundreds of small businesses and partnered with multiple financial institutions to assist with financing of building acquisitions, construction projects, and machinery and equipment loans.

    I realize I have a Raving Fan story to tell you.  It goes like this:

    The year was 2009.  My husband and I had recently bought our first home and wanted to take advantage of the recession-era refinancing opportunities.  At the time, we banked at a Goliath Bank (which we won’t name), and knew we didn’t want to refinance with them.  We searched all over town for someone who would refinance our FHA loan and found Peoples Bank.  We had a great experience….

    Longtime Albuquerque Bank Executive Joins Peoples Bank

    Peoples Bank announces that Ed Larrañaga has been hired as a Business Relationship Officer. A native of Albuquerque, Larrañaga has a long history in the financial services industry as well as community service. He joins the bank having worked most recently at The Bank of Albuquerque.
